〈 CHARACTER INFO 〉
CHARACTER NAME: Harry Hart, but his codename is Galahad.
CHARACTER AGE: Late 40s/early 50s
SERIES: Kingsman: The Secret Service
CHRONOLOGY: post-death
CLASS: Hero
HOUSING: He'd prefer to live alone, and starting in Heropa would be aces. Feel free to give him annoying neighbors, though.
BACKGROUND: Harry's version of Earth is nearly identical to the real one, except for the existence of the Kingsman organization. This spy group doesn't answer to governments and exists on an international scale, though based out of England, where it was founded after WWI. Harry has been one of twelve top agents, all named after the Knights of the Round Table, since completing training in 1981. In this time, he's diverted many national disasters, assassinations, and other general nasty plans of the world's worst criminals.
Kingsman's elite has traditionally consisted of upper class men since its inception, and though Harry fits that mold, he is one of the few to acknowledge the growing rigidity of it. When the time came to nominate candidates to replace the recently deceased Lancelot, the man Harry chose excelled despite not being of privileged birth, and that's where our story begins.
PERSONALITY: Harry Hart is the consummate gentleman's gentleman. Part of this comes from being raised in high society, though he knows better than anyone that's not all it takes. It's easy for the rich and powerful to be snobs, but he prefers the high road; Harry treats everyone with the due care of politeness. Even before he beats the living shit out of them. Sometimes it makes him come off as a bit antiquated, but Harry takes his role as a modern knight very seriously.
Because his manners are so impeccable, Harry has mastered the art of wit in lieu of insulting people outright. His patience is high, but it isn't unlimited. When he's pushed, his quiet, barely noticeable sarcasm can rip a person to shreds. That and his quick intelligence serve him well on the field. Harry can easily strategize his way out of some of the most dangerous situations imaginable, due to a combination of natural talent and decades of experience.
Despite his unaffected exterior, the most important thing about Harry is his deeply seated sense of right and wrong. He may be a spy, but he is unflinchingly loyal to Kingsman and its cause, which is keeping innocent people safe, even from the most ridiculous of threats that normal agencies can't handle. He's a spy, but one with a keen moral compass who devotes himself to doing as close to the right thing as he can.
POWER: Harry will be getting powers upon porting in, and naturally they're all good for spying:
-Psychic blocking, passive to the point that he won't even know he has it unless someone admits they were trying to read his mind.
-Slight empath powers in the ability to sense/shift emotions through touch. This is another one that he'll take a while to discover/develop.
-Bottomless ammunition
〈 CHARACTER SAMPLES 〉
COMMUNITY POST (VOICE) SAMPLE:
[After Harry settles as best as he can into the housing he's been provided, he spends a long amount of time observing the Network before using it himself. Earlier, he got a lay of the land, now he needs to take stock of the community. It's as diverse and overly candid as any social media from home, though with more encryption possibilities that he takes careful note of.
It's time to put a cover in place, just like any other day, and Harry decides his domestic one will be best: The closest to his true self without anything compromising, though he's felt as compromised as a man can get since his arrival. His voice is polite and measured when he finally starts recording.]
Pardon me if a voice post is a bit forward for a new arrival. This sort of technology has never been my strong suit. My name is Harry Hart. I can't claim to really understand what's going on, despite all the supplemental material that's been provided-- [There's the faintest huff of exasperation, which is entirely genuine. Few things annoy him more than red tape, and he has no intention of keeping that secret.]
Regardless, I'll be happy to offer my services to the community at large. Unfortunately, that only comes in the form of tailoring. I don't have all of my equipment from back home, obviously, but I can manage basic alterations, simple patch ups. Hopefully I can work with the government on setting up shop more extensively, but you're welcome to contact me regarding any of your sartorial needs.
I can't say the military will find much use for this either, though they do make quick work of asking for unflinching loyalty, don't they?
[He ends the transmission on that little note of skepticism, casting out hooks for any answers he can get.]
LOGS POST (PROSE) SAMPLE:
[After the soldier's insistence that he hadn't woken up in some sort of purgatory, Harry wondered if the power he received was some sort of spite based resurrection ability. Of all the places he could see himself dying, the American south ranked close to the bottom, but waking up there again came even more unexpectedly.
Honestly, Harry doesn't quite buy that this isn't some sort of afterlife. Maybe an elaborate fantasy concocted by the last sparks flying around his brain as a bullet tears apart the nerve connections. It would explain why he found himself in a bombed out, technicolor Pleasantville, painted with Cold War memories and childish strokes of comic book imagination. It's all impossible, and when he gets his brief, sees his government branding, Harry can't stop his stomach from tying in knots. Above all things, maybe this is punishment.
Despite his inner turmoil and his disbelief at still walking around upright, Harry maintains a cool facade, never once dropping his manners with the soldiers and employees that escort him around the town. Panic now would only lead to disaster, so he gives himself over to pure spy instinct.
Once they leave him to his own devices, Harry decides to take a stroll around the town. He moves with a leisurely nonchalance, but he absorbs all the sights and sounds around him. This is reconnaissance, and everything around him is intel.]
FINAL NOTES: Harry will be arriving with only about half of his typical spy arsenal, and I can list that if you need it.
